15 Year Old Nicholas Waggoner Browning Alleged To Have Killed His Family In Maryland

A 15 year old Maryland boy has been charged with the murders of his parents and two younger brothers in Maryland. Nicholas Waggoner Browning of Cockeysville, Maryland has been formally charged with all four murders as an adult.

Browning is accused with killing John Browning, 45; Tamara Browning, 44; Gregory Browning, 13 and 11 year old Benjamin Browning. The murder instrument was his father’s shotgun.

Browning was arrested at 1:05 am Sunday morning. He has admitted to the killings according to Baltimore County Police spokesman Bill Toohey.

A police report says that the teen and his father were not getting along. On Friday night he went into his home after his family members were asleep. He used his father’s shotgun to shot each person in their sleep. After finishing he threw the gun in bushes near his home. The police have the gun in question.

Browning then spent the rest of the night Friday and all day Saturday with his friends. The friends brought him home at 5 pm on Saturday. He then entered the home and came out to say his father was dead. At that time he called 911.

Police found the father in a ground story room. The bodies of Browning’s mother and brothers were in bedrooms located on the second floor. According to Toohey there was no signs of confrontation.

Browning was denied bail Sunday morning. Bail review has been scheduled for Monday at District Court in Towson, Maryland.

It is unclear if the youth has a lawyer. Because of his age Browning can not be sentenced to death although he will be tried as an adult.
