Trophy wives have had a bad image but it seems that they may have one of the better marriages. Both husbands and wives in these types of marriages are supportive of each other. Supportive marriages are generally the best ones.

“Men are very sensitive to women’s attractiveness. Women seem to be sensitive to men’s height and salary,” said Dan Ariely, a professor of behavioral economics at MIT’s Program in Media Arts and Sciences and Sloan School of Management.

Maybe it’s because the men are grateful that their woman looks so good compared to them. Maybe it’s because the women like being on a pedastal. For whatever reason marriages with the woman more attractive to the man work.

Could it be if the grass is greener in your own backyard men want to make sure everyone is a happy camper?

Women tend not to care as much as men about the attractiveness of thier mate. It’s more important that he is supportive of her. For men though having some eye candy on their arm is priceless.

So the next time you feel like gossiping about how Cindy Lou landed that balding guy with stacks of money consider the possibility that they just may love each other madly.

And men, if you’re not tops in the looks department don’t underestimate your qualities to reel in the cutest babe at the party.
