Chelsea Clinton Checks Out Gay Scene Friday Night

Chelsea Clinton is taking it to the streets. Friday night in the city of Brotherly Love young Clinton was out trolling the gay bar scene preaching her momma to the mobs.

Gov. Ed Rendell took Chelsea on a tour of where the local gays and lesbians hang out on a Friday night. The patrons were happy to see her.

“Chelsea, the gays love you!” one fan exclaimed, as she took the microphone at Bump, a restaurant and bar that was her first stop. “Oh, gosh, I don’t know if everybody loves me,” she responded.

It almost seemed like Clinton was on the red carpet as she posed for photos and shook hands while making her way from one club to the next.

Instead of the frequent questions of who her mother was picking for running mate Clinton fielded queries of what was mom going to wear on Inauguration day.

The night’s walk was a smart political move. Chelsea made fans left and right. Those fans are good ones to have on your side when the chips are being stacked for the battle.

Rendell has toured gay bars in Philadelphia since the 1970s, he said, and made a similar trek for John Kerry in 2004.

“We’ll see tonight, easily, 1,500 people,” Rendell said. “And they’re all voters.”
