Going out to dinner is no longer an excuse to miss your favorite movies. With the holiday season approaching TiVo has launched their TiVo Mobile program to ensure everyone can watch TV anytime, as long as they have a cell phone with a mobile browser.
On Tuesday TiVo Mobile launched. Teaming with the mobile application development agency, Mobui, the company is giving it’s users more for their buck. What’s more non-subscribers will be able to use the program.
Any phone that has a mobile browser will now be able to use the service for free. Mobile phones include the iPhone and G1. The program opens up television viewing for millions of cell phone owners.
The new mobile site is m.tivo.com. TiVo is already known for its easy to use interface and the mobile service will be no different. New users will be able to easily understand the program and able to view their shows quickly.
Jim Denney, vice president of product marketing at TiVo Inc., said, “TiVo started out making television a more convenient, personal experience, and this is the next step to give television lovers total control over their media. Whether you are standing in line at the bank or talking about a new show with friends at dinner, you can now find and record shows whenever, wherever, a perfect tool for everyone,” in a Mobui press release.
The program includes YouTube videos as well as Amazon Video on Demand and Jaman. Viewers can add their shows to Apple iPod, Sony PSP and other portable players.
